My aim is that every believer will pray for the completion of the Great Commission and pray for, provide for, and speak out for the persecuted family of God worldwide.

An explanation of JUMP is in order. Acts 3:8 “And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.” The lame man who lay at the temple gate when he was healed could not contain his joy and new found ability, and he combined the two in joyfully jumping, combined with praising God. In a similar fashion, we as healed believers can show our joy and new found ability in praising and petitioning our heavenly Father.

Initially I coined the phrase “Go take a JUMP for God” because it was a mnemonic-to exhort you to obey God and expand your vision by praying for

  • 1) The Jews (J) His elect among them (Romans 10:1.

  • 2) The Unreached Millions (UM) Matthew 9:38,Psalm 22;27,28. See World Overview powerpoint on Unreached Millions page.

  • 3) The Persecuted (P) Hebrews 13:3, I Corinthians 12:26 who are His body and ours.

  • These are the basic divisions covered in this site… J.U.M.P.

How do we pray-“Thy Kingdom Come“? Well this is one way.Lord’s Day 48

Heidelberg Catechism Lord’s Day 48 reads Q. 123.  Which is the second petition?
A.  Thy kingdom come;1 that is, rule us so by Thy Word and Spirit, that we may submit ourselves more and more to Thee;2 preserve and increase Thy church;3 destroy the works of the devil4 and all violence which would exalt itself against Thee; and also, all wicked counsels devised against Thy holy Word; till the full perfection of Thy kingdom take place,5 wherein Thou shalt be all in all.6

Paul’s priority: I Timothy 2:1 “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;”

Why? Because if we want see his kingdom come more and more and to lay up treasure in heaven we must join in his purposes through prayer. Our prayers can go where we cannot-there are no borders, no prison walls no doors closed when we pray.

“praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints” ( Ephesians 6:18).

Prayer is the Christian’s vital breath. When Ananias was sent to newly converted Paul he was told by the Lord that ‘he prayeth’. Prayer is the basic expression of our faith and union with Christ-the Spirit prays within us and by our intellect and will we also ought to pray as Scripture tells us.

We should always start by adoring our omnipotent gracious God and confessing any known sin before progressing to thanksgiving and supplication (ACTS).

Supplication for ‘all the saints’ means the scope of our prayer must be global! Thus, apart from praying for our family, our pastor and church and denomination we must embrace God’s purposes which concern every ethnic people group (Revelation 7:9) and alongside this His people are promised persecution wherever they are faithful, and we are commanded to remember those in prison (Heb.13:3). They need our sympathetic support. We are commanded to pray for labourers for the harvest field, the sowers and harvesters. The fields need ploughed up to make the hard ground receptive for the seed of the Word. The seed needs to be available-the Word in audio and written for to be the sword of the Spirit. The seed needs watered by prayer to yield the harvest, disciples of every nation (people). This site exists to facilitate those purposes of our Heavenly Father.
