Prayer Meeting Ends with Martyrdom.
On Oct. 9, a group of people with machetes attacked a group of Christian men
at a prayer meeting in Bukoba, Tanzania, killing two. Dioniz Ng’wandu, 31, left
behind a wife Faith and two small children, Michael, 4, and John, 2.

Pray for them!

Another man, Temistores, 25, was hospitalized with injuries sustained as he escaped. The church is
located in a Muslim-dominated area and is still under construction, with no
windows or doors. Church members have been threatened by Islamic
extremists, who want to run Christians out of the area.

despite threats and two separate attacks by Islamic extremists who want to rid
the area of Christians.
Boldness in Tanzania
Christian brothers and sisters continue to face persecution from radical Muslim groups that want to eradicate all other
religious beliefs and have a country governed by sharia (Islamic) law. Although the pastor and another man escaped from
this particular attack, they are still in danger. So are the other members of the church in Bukoba. Ask God that they will
continue to meet together boldly as well as continue to be witnesses to Muslims and those who do not yet know Christ.
“Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching
out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” Acts

Pray also for Mary Meshack whose husband Elijah an assistant pastor was killed in October 2013 by a mob who attacked his church in Mwanza City. She asks for wisdom.

Likewise Generosa Kachila whose husband was hacked to death after he among local Christians had broken the monopoly of Halal meat distributors. She has 11 children.

Pray for all church leaders in Tanzania to help their congregations prepare for increasing persecution.

Pray for believers in Zanzibar where churches and pastors have been attacked.
