Darkhad-Mongolia-another un-reached people

Pray for labourers that the Mongolian church MUST send!

Darkhad of Mongolia.Darkhads have a strong history of shamanism. Shamans supposedly treat the soul and mind and help people overcome bad luck. “Black” shamans in Mongolia maintain the shaman worldview and traditions, while “yellow” shamans have adopted Buddhist ideas. Darkhad shamans have been black shamans for hundreds of years. The Darkhads live in the beautiful mountainous Darkhad Valley, watered by countless rivers and containing 300 lakes. The area is home to some of the most powerful shamans in Mongolia.Ministry Obstacles
The worldview of the Shamanist and Buddhist is radically different than that of the Christian.Outreach Ideas
Christian resources are not available in the Darkhat language. However, the people can largely understand standard Mongolian, and many resources are available in this language. Pray for workers.

Pray for the followers of Christ
There is probably not a single follower of Jesus among the Darkhad people in Mongolia and national believers are not located nearby. Pray the growing Mongolian church will be unsatisfied until they reach their Darkhad brothers and sisters.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Darkhad people will be able to transition successfully into the modern world, seeking and obtaining a good education for their children.

Scripture Focus
“I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.” Psalm 108:3
